TERMS & CONDITIONS:

PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED AT TIME OF BOOKING TO SECURE YOUR PLACE

Retractable leads, slip leads, electric shock collars, spray collars, half check collars, pronged collars and head collars or any device that causes discomfort, pain or fear are not acceptable.

PAYMENT

With signing-up for any services provided Selby Sniffers K9 Scentwork payment is expected to secure your space on any course, 121, event or workshop. If not done so, Selby Sniffers K9 Scentwork reserves the right to refuse participation in the service you have signed up for. In addition, until fully paid for no place is confirmed and therefore can be open to others taking that place if they agree, sign up and pay first. It’s “first come first serve”.

Fees and prices are subject to change without notice. Price at time of booking applies.

All services/courses/workshops must be prepaid. No admittance will be allowed unless the course fee has been paid in full.Payment is to be made by bank transfer.

CANCELLATIONS

• Group and 1-2-1’s courses are not held over or rescheduled. They are a fixed length.

• If you cancel a complete course or with more than 2 weeks notice from the start date, you will receive a refund minus a £20 administration fee.

• Course cancellation less than 2 weeks notice, refund minus £20 admin fee is at Selby Sniffers K9 Scentworks discretion.

• Cancelling once a course has started, no refund or reschedule.

• Cancellation of event or workshop. A refund given only if your place can be sold.

• Refunds are made by bank transfer and not cash.

• Selby Sniffers K9 Scentwork has no control over the weather. If you feel you can’t attend due to the weather, you will forfeit that training session.

• COVID May disrupt training. We have to follow Government guidelines at all times.

• Selby Sniffers K9 Scentwork reserve the right to amend, reschedule or cancel training. This may be due to many factorsincluding Covid, weather, illness or unforeseen circumstances.

• Selby Sniffers K9 Scentwork will not be liable for any losses or expenses arising from amendments to the course or cancellations

THE TRAINER/ORGANISER WILL DETERMINE THE LENGTH OF THE EVENT/SESSION

Based physical and psychological capability of each dog. The trainer will act in the best interest of the dog and can therefore order a rest for a dog or put a halt on further training sessions. If the participant is late for the event/service, it is their own responsibility and the trainer/organiser will not stop/pause the event/service because of this. The participant is not eligible to make up for any missed hours/days or get a reduction of cost because of such.

HEALTH OF DOGS

Only healthy dogs are allowed to participate in any event  that Selby Sniffers K9 Scentwork is offering. The participant insures that the dog is free of diseases and agrees that should their dog be found have any contagious disease such as the likes of kennel cough shortly after participating in anything organised, hosted or run by  Selby Sniffers K9 Scentwork to let the organiser know at the earliest opportunity so that other course participants can be informed. If a bitch comes or is in season, the event/service organiser has to be informed. If a dog falls ill shortly before or during the event/service, the trainer/organiser is to be informed immediately to discuss further action and prevent a possible disease from spreading. 

BITCHES IN HEAT WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO TRAIN.

KENNEL COUGH PROTOCOL

Kennel Cough is a highly contagious canine illness and causes inflammation of the upper respiratory system. YOUR DOG MUST NOT ATTEND TRAINING if their symptoms include a harsh dry hacking cough, retching, sneezing, snorting, gagging or vomiting. You should isolate your dog for around 14 days. To protect our clients you can not attend training for 3 weeks (21 days). Your dog can not attend training if it lives with or been in contact with an infected dog.

LIABILITY AND INSURANCE

The participation in any events/services offered by  Selby Sniffers K9 Scentwork is at your own risk. The participant is fully liable for any damages/harm done by either themselves, their dogs or the people that came with them.  Selby Sniffers K9 Scentwork and the organiser/s and trainer/s, instructor/s do not take any responsibility for any damage/harm done to a person/s or a thing/s (e.g. buildings, cars, dogs, personal belongings etc.). The participant takes the full responsibility for his/her dog/s.

You are fully responsible for your own and your dogs` actions.  Selby Sniffers K9 Scentwork cannot be asked to take over any costs for damage or harm done to you or your dog/s. Selby Sniffers K9 Scentwork takes all reasonable precautions within the structure of our training sessions/workshops/courses to avoid injury resulting from dog bites. Selby Sniffers K9 Scentwork accepts no responsibility for damage or injury resulting from dog bites occurring to clients or their dogs while attending training sessions/seminars/courses/workshops/121’s or any other forms of training offered. The Control of Dogs Act 1986 section 21 – “Liability of owner for damage by Dog” applies within our classes/seminars/workshops/trainings/introduction courses or any other training offered by Selby Sniffers K9 Scentwork and on our premises or public premises (rented from a third party or owned).

All instances of accident or injury must be reported to the dog trainer/instructor at the time they occurred.

All the copyright is reserved by  Selby Sniffers K9 Scentwork This includes material, videos, pictures, texts, etc. Information in any form, provided during an event/service, in its original form or modified, can only be used/published with written consent from  Selby Sniffers K9 Scentwork. Voice recordings and videos of any event/service have to be permitted by  Selby Sniffers K9 Scentwork.

Step-by-step complaints procedure

If you’re not completely happy with our service we’d like to hear about it so we can do something to put it right.

We do everything we can to make sure our customers get the best products and service possible. However, sometime we may not get things right the first time.

When that happens, we want you to tell us what went wrong so we can put matters right.

We want to:

-       Make it easy for you to tell us what went wrong;

-       Give your complaint the attention it deserves;

-       Resolve your complaint fairly without delay; and

-       Make sure you are satisfied with how your complaint was resolved.

How and where to complain

If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our service or products you can tell us about your complaint in the following ways:

In writing – write to us and address your letter to Jenny Dyer.

By telephone – call us on 07776 488254 during our office hours and ask for Jenny Dyer.

How long will it take?

We aim to resolve your complaint straight away but if we can’t, then we will email you within three business days to tell you:

-       Why we have not resolved your complaint;

-       When we will contact you again.

We will aim to resolve your complaint quickly but it may take longer if it is complex.

We will keep you informed on a regular basis but if you need an update please call us on 07776 488254 and ask to speak to Jenny Dyer.

If we cannot reach agreement with you?

If we can’t agree a solution with you within eight weeks, we will:

-       Send an email giving our reasons for the delay and an indication of when we expect to provide a final decision.

OR

-       Issue our final decision email which will explain our final position.

-       As a sole trader, I will look at your complaint with an open mind.

The Financial Ombudsman Service

Our aim is to resolve all complaints internally. However, if after receiving our final decision letter, or if eight weeks have passed (this is sometimes referred to as the “eight-week rule”), you may have the right to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). The eight weeks start from the date a complaint is received anywhere in our business. Their contact details are shown below.
